CCG principals served as the financial advisor to the developer, and structured and placed the tax credit equity for the $26 million rehabilitation of the historic Pier A located in Battery Park, New York City. Because the property is owned by a municipal entity, the transaction required focused negotiation with HUD, the State of New York, the City of New York, the Battery Park City Authority and the equity investor, encompassing six different sets of legal counsel. With over five million visitors to the area each year, Manhattan's historical Pier A consists of restaurants, a catering facility, a non-profit nautical museum and visitor's center, and an excursion marina.
